Now... lately I've become a little more itchy and have a critique for almost everything. Don't get me wrong, I'm just in some wacky period... Never mind, so let me continue on what I was about to say. As I can see you used photoshop to blurry the scape surrounding the heart, didn't you? I'm so happy to see you getting along with the Adobe machine, but you would get a better result with your camera than with photoshop. Just use the lowest aperture value your camera supports (f/5.6 or f/6.4 does wonderful work!). Then turn on the macro focus. Those two things combined will guarantee you a focused "heart" and blurry background. Then you can use a lower shutter speed to get a good amount of light. Try with 1-2sec or try until you get the best brightness and contrast. Working with exposure will be a good thing as well. Just set the aperture and macro focus as I said above and everything else is just a game for you, experiment till you get what you want.

On the other hand, I really like this shape! The shadow of the glasses is very interesting and makes the photo different than most of the shots on dA. Congrats, again!

PP: Use photoshop afterwards to encrease the contrast and highlights/shadows. Don't mess with the blurr there, it doesn't work well, personal experience!}
